Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect in Sydney to lead the most complex customer engagements, owning executive relationships and acting as the definitive technical authority. You will drive consumption strategy and mentor the team while coordinating across DSAs, SSAs, partners, and product.

You will demonstrate expert Databricks Platform knowledge, influence enterprise data and AI strategy, and guide real-time, large-scale migrations and multi-workload deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in solutions architecture or equivalent senior technical role.
• Expert-level coding proficiency — Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark.
• Deep enterprise data architecture experience: distributed systems, real-time, lakehouse patterns.
• Executive-level relationship management and strategic account planning.
• Proven track record of driving consumption growth and platform adoption.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical and consumption strategy for complex engagements.
• Own senior-level technical relationships with executives.
• Lead architecture engagements: multi-workload platforms and migrations.
• Mentor junior SAs and contribute to Field Engineering thought leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
