Job summary

n Human Resources & Management Systems [ nHRMS ] is seeking a Databricks Solution Architect in Sydney to design and lead enterprise Data & AI solutions. You will work with customers to architect scalable data platforms across AWS, Azure and/or GCP, and drive end-to-end Databricks implementations from discovery to production.

The role requires hands-on Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake expertise, plus strong consulting skills and the ability to mentor teams and engage with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of consulting and technology experience.
• 7+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Analytics.
• 6-8 enterprise Databricks implementations delivered in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead enterprise-scale Data & AI solutions on Databricks Lakehouse.
• Architect scalable data platforms across AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Lead end-to-end Databricks implementations from discovery to production.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Apache Spark, Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Drive performance tuning, cost optimization and platform scalability.
• Implement CI/CD, DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Support MLOps and modern AI workflows.
• Lead architecture workshops and executive presentations.
• Engage with global enterprise customers and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive governance best practices.
