Job summary
UpGuard is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own a feature area within Product Engineering. You’ll lead design, mentor teammates, and ship high-impact capabilities for customers relying on cyber risk insights. The stack includes React/TypeScript on the frontend, Go services with PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes on GCP.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience at tech-centric, product-driven companies.
- Strong TypeScript and React experience.
- Proficient in a backend language (Go).
- Solid relational database skills (PostgreSQL).
- Experience with AI coding tools and agentic AI.
- Ability to balance technical quality with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Own a feature area end to end from design to production and follow-up.
- Lead technical design and drive architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with product and design to shape what we build.
- Mentor engineers and improve squad code quality and decisions.
- Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of owned systems.
- Apply cybersecurity domain knowledge to product development.
