Job summary

UpGuard is building an AI-driven CRPM platform that helps security teams manage cyber risk at scale. As a Software Engineer, you’ll work across the stack—from React/TypeScript UI to Go services and Postgres, deployed on Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, own features end-to-end, and contribute to secure, reliable systems from day one. You don’t need cybersecurity experience, but curiosity about it is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong TypeScript and React.
• A backend language you’re productive in (Go).
• Relational database skills (Postgres).
• AI coding tools as your default workflow, and the judgment to review and own what they produce.
• Pragmatic trade-offs: weigh technical quality against business needs.
• Low ego, high care: focused on product and customer.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing features across React front end and Go services.
• Own well-scoped work end to end with guidance from seniors.
• Help keep the platform fast and reliable as we scale.
• Participate in thoughtful code reviews and technical discussions.
• Go deep on cybersecurity and grow toward senior levels with expanding scope.
