Job summary

UpGuard is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Australia to own a feature area from design through production and follow-up. You will lead technical design for your area, collaborate with product and design, and mentor engineers to lift the squad's code quality and decisions.

Our stack includes React and TypeScript on the frontend, Go services with Postgres, and Kubernetes on GCP. You’ll work with AI coding tools and help build scalable cyber risk solutions for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience at tech-centric, product-driven companies.
• Strong TypeScript and React.
• A backend language you're productive in (Go).
• Relational database skills (Postgres).
• AI coding tools as your default workflow and sound judgment when using them.

Responsibilities

• Own a feature area end to end from design discussions to production.
• Lead technical design and drive architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with product and design to shape what we build and priorities.
• Mentor engineers and raise squad code quality.
• Improve reliability, scalability and performance of your systems.
