Job summary

Warrikal is seeking an experienced Shutdown Manager to lead major shutdowns and maintenance programs across multiple sites in WA. You will own planning, mobilisation, execution, close-out, and continuous improvement, driving safe, efficient delivery and strong stakeholder engagement.

The role reports to Client Manager and requires proven leadership in mining/resources, budget oversight, and a focus on safety and quality. Australian qualifications and heavy industrial experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale shutdowns, maintenance programs, or major projects in Australia.
• An Australian recognised trade qualification, engineering qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification.
• 7+ years' experience in senior leadership roles within the mining and resources sector.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary operational teams across multiple work fronts.
• Strong knowledge of shutdown planning, scheduling, mobilisation, execution, and close-out.
• Proven experience managing budgets, resources, and operational performance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• A sound understanding of HSEQ, QA/QC, and risk management systems.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead shutdown planning, mobilisation, execution, and demobilisation activities.
• Ensure shutdown readiness through effective planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractor requirements.
• Deliver shutdowns safely while achieving productivity, quality, schedule, and budget targets.
• Monitor progress and critical path activities, implementing recovery plans where required.
• Lead and develop Superintendents, Coordinators, Supervisors, and site leadership teams.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
