Job summary

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Maintenance Shutdown Planning Lead to head our outage planning and scheduling for Energy Operations in Perth, with frequent site visits to operations sites. You will lead a team to deliver high-quality shutdown plans, align them with budgets and business objectives, and ensure readiness milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Extensive shutdown planning and scheduling experience in mining, energy or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS and maintenance planning platforms (SAP, Anaplan, Shutdown Readiness Hub, SPEAR).
• Experience aligning multi-counter plans and energy dispatch models for scheduling and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Leadership experience in a supervisory role (desirable).
• Project management experience including budgeting and reporting (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the shutdown planning team to deliver executable work plans and forecasts.
• Establish and maintain an integrated network maintenance schedule for outage planning and forecast improvements.
• Governance, milestones and readiness criteria; address scope, dependencies and customer impacts.
• Monitor shutdown performance with KPIs for scope stability and schedule readiness.
• Implement contractor management processes in line with Fortescue standards.
• Drive best-practice planning in line with the Fortescue Asset Management Standard.
• Develop and report OPEX and CAPEX budgets for shutdowns.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and energy modelling teams to improve planning outcomes.
• Lead continuous improvement across planning processes and systems.
