Job summary

SafeWork NSW is seeking a Service Designer to join the Digital Solutions and Systems Performance team. You’ll work with internal stakeholders to drive service improvements across business processes, systems and digital solutions in a regulatory context.

You will translate complex problems into practical recommendations, facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and develop artefacts like journey maps and prototypes to support implementation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Service Design, UX Design or Product Design.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience creating customer journey maps, service blueprints and user flows.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery activities to understand customer needs and business challenges.
• Create current and future-state customer journeys and service maps.
• Develop service blueprints that connect people, processes, systems and touchpoints.
• Translate insights into wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and delivery-ready.
• Conduct user research, usability testing and validation activities.
