Job summary

Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, part of the Accor group, is seeking a passionate Senior Sales Manager to lead conference and events sales and grow revenue within key market segments.

You will coach the Sales Executive, drive annual revenue budgets, optimise pricing and client partnerships, and collaborate across Commercial, Revenue and Operations to deliver exceptional client experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing or similar.
• 4+ years’ experience in a senior sales capacity.
• Experience in negotiation within hotel sales.
• Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.
• Understanding of hotel market segments and current trends.
• Understanding of branding and positioning of Hotels within the market.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and support to the Sales Executive, ensuring a results-driven and commercially focused approach to conference and events sales, while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering revenue growth.
• Drive achievement of the annual Conference & Events revenue budget across accommodation, venue hire, food & beverage and audio visual revenue streams.
• Drive performance across conference, events, corporate and group business, ensuring optimal yield management, business mix, profitability and flow-through from sales strategy to operational execution.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to maximise performance across the accounts assigned to this position.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while strengthening long-term relationships with clients, partners and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate across Commercial, Revenue and Operational teams to optimise demand, conversion, pricing strategy and the delivery of exceptional client experiences.
• Be the champion at reporting for Business on the Books and other requirement.
