Job summary

ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley, part of Accor, is seeking a Sales Manager to drive sales and marketing for conferences, meetings, and events. You will build relationships with clients to secure bookings and maximise revenue across the hotel's event spaces and services.

The role requires leadership in a hospitality setting, strategic thinking, and the ability to craft tailored proposals, manage budgets, and coordinate with planning teams to deliver exceptional events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a C&E based hotel environment with demonstrated precision in leadership.
• Creativity for designing unique event experiences and solving challenges.
• Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation and financial management.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers, vendors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets by promoting/conferencing spaces, packages and services.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, event planners and organisers to secure bookings.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors and opportunities in events industry.
• Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing models and promotional campaigns.
• Create tailored event proposals and finalise contracts with terms, pricing and event details.
• Collaborate with planning and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Review client feedback and drive continuous improvement for future events.
