Job summary

Experis Austria is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor for a Sydney-based role with a mix of office and site duties. You will work with project teams to uphold best-practice WHS standards across multiple sites, promoting a proactive safety culture and driving continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate will have Australian WHS experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and a record of leading investigations and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Safety Advisor or Senior Safety Advisor within commercial construction.
• Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all project teams.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and delivery of safety initiatives and training programs.
• Support project teams with risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and safety planning.
• Prepare safety reports and provide guidance to management and site personnel.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and key stakeholders.

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Tier 2 commercial construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Sydney. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join their team. This role offers a mix of office and site-based responsibilities, working closely with project teams to drive a proactive safety culture and ensure best-practice WHS standards are maintained across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all project teams
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
