You will work with project teams across multiple sites, promoting safe work practices and supporting day-to-day site safety requirements on major developments.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years' experience in a construction safety role.
• Qualified in Workplace Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between project sites.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive health and safety support across multiple Sydney projects.
• Travel between project sites to conduct inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Conduct site inductions for employees, subcontractors and visitors.
• Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Systems.
• Monitor site safety performance and identify opportunities to improve safety outcomes.
• Deliver safety guidance and coaching to project teams and subcontractors.
• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture through communication and engagement.
• Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes where required.
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports and compliance documentation.
• Build strong working relationships with site teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

An industry-leading Tier 1 construction contractor is seeking a motivated and practical Safety Coordinator to join their Sydney team on a full-time permanent basis.

Working closely with project teams, you will play a key role in promoting safe work practices, supporting day-to-day site safety requirements, and contributing to the successful delivery of major construction projects across Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proactive health and safety support across multiple construction projects throughout Sydney
• Travel between project sites to conduct inspections, audits and safety observations
• Conduct site inductions for employees, subcontractors and visitors
• Assist project teams with risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), incident investigations and corrective actions
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline
• 3-5+ year's experience in a Safety Coordinator, Safety Advisor or similar construction safety role
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between project sites
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and industry best practice
• Experience using Microsoft Office and safety management systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams
• Proactive, professional and team-oriented approach
