Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join a major Tier 1 builder in Brisbane on a high-profile Olympic-related project. You will provide day-to-day HSE support across the delivery of the development and work with the project and HSE teams.

The role requires strong WHS knowledge, high-rise/large-scale project exposure, risk management and contractor engagement. You will lead toolbox talks, site inspections, incident investigations and ensure compliance with WHS

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Safety Advisor.
• High-rise experience is highly desirable, particularly on major commercial or residential developments.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and contractor engagement.
• Confident communicating with site teams, subcontractors and senior management.
• Practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to safety.
• Relevant WHS qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HSE support across the project.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, observations and risk assessments.
• Review SWMS, permits and high-risk construction activities.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Engage with subcontractors and site teams to drive a proactive safety culture.
• Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, project requirements and company systems.
• Work closely with the project team to identify and manage safety risks.
