Job summary

Manpower Australia in Sydney is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to oversee safety across multiple commercial projects, blending office and site-based duties to promote a proactive safety culture.

You will conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensure WHS compliance, lead incident investigations, and support safety training and planning with project teams and subcontractors.

Senior Safety Advisor - Sydney | Tier 2 Commercial Construction

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Tier 2 commercial construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Sydney. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join their team.
This role offers a mix of office and site-based responsibilities, working closely with project teams to drive a proactive safety culture and ensure best-practice WHS standards are maintained across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all project teams
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and client requirements
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Assist in the development and delivery of safety initiatives and training programs
• Support project teams with risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and safety planning
• Prepare safety reports and provide guidance to management and site personnel
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and key stakeholders

About You

• Previous experience as a Safety Advisor or Senior Safety Advisor within commercial construction
• Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and industry best practice
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to influence site teams and promote positive safety outcomes
• Relevant safety qualifications
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
