Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Perth, WA is seeking a Roads Team Lead to drive technical and people leadership for major transport projects. You will manage road design delivery from concept through detailed design, mentor a high-performing team and ensure delivery excellence for Main Roads WA programs.

The role combines hands-on project delivery with strategic planning, resource management and client engagement to shape Western Australia's road infrastructure landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 12+ years' experience in roads engineering design.
• Proven experience delivering road and transport infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Austroads Guides, Australian Standards and road authority requirements.
• Experience working on Main Roads WA projects and applying MRWA standards.
• Leadership and mentoring of engineers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring a team of road engineers and designers.
• Delivering road design packages from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
• Providing technical oversight and guidance across transport infrastructure projects.
• Ensuring compliance with Main Roads WA standards, Austroads Guides, Australian Standards and project-specific requirements.
• Supporting design reviews, technical assurance activities and Safety in Design processes.
• Building relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams; supporting planning and delivery.
