Job summary

Arup's Highways team in Perth is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to lead multidisciplinary road design projects with autonomy and client engagement.

You will manage design, documentation and analysis, mentor engineers, and coordinate with designers and drafters while delivering high-quality outcomes for urban and rural road schemes. Applicants should have Chartered status with Engineers Australia or equivalent, and a strong knowledge of Austroads guides.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered membership with Engineers Australia or equivalent desirable.
• Strong track record in highway/road design from planning to detailed design.

Responsibilities

• Lead project and design management activities, including technical design and documentation for road projects.
• Check the quality and accuracy of work, supporting project standards and outcomes.
• Prepare and manage technical analysis and documentation for road design elements.
• Work with clients, contractors and government agencies at technical and strategic levels.
• Provide technical guidance, coordination and mentoring to engineers, designers and drafters.
