Job summary

SMBC in Australia seeks a senior credit and execution member of the REF, CBAP team to assess corporate real estate and investment clients. You will review financial information, build financial models, analyse projects, and prepare reports and credit papers to seek approval.

In this role you will deliver detailed credit analysis, manage loan and ISDA documentation negotiations, and support transaction execution while promoting SMBC’s products and services to clients and advisors.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager or Credit Analyst
• Awareness of Real Estate Finance and Corporate Banking products
• Advanced understanding of financial statements and financial modelling
• Strong numeracy and financial analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed credit and financial analysis of corporate real estate customers and potential deals
• Work with financial models to model cash flows and financial information
• Prepare reports for presentations to customers and advisors
• Prepare credit papers to seek credit approval from SMBC Credit Department
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing customer accounts
• Manage loan and ISDA documentation negotiation and execution
• Assist with ongoing credit, compliance and administration of the real estate portfolio
• Support REF leadership with policy and process improvements
