Job summary

Bayside Council in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-value, complex capital works from inception to completion. You will coordinate infrastructure, building, public domain, open space and community facilities, working with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex capital works, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Proven experience managing major construction contracts, procurement and project risks.
• Strong financial management, contract administration and governance capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing project teams.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of major capital works projects across all project phases.
• Manage complex construction contracts, procurement activities and contractor performance.
• Monitor project budgets, cashflows, forecasts and financial reporting.
• Prepare reports, recommendations and briefings for senior management and key decisionmakers.
• Manage stakeholder and community engagement associated with major projects.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to project staff.
