Job summary

Category 5 Labour Management is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee two major infrastructure projects in Western Sydney on a casual 6‑month basis. The role involves delivering brownfield projects in live environments, managing costs and risks, and ensuring milestones are met.

You will take ownership of day‑to‑day delivery, interface with engineering, procurement, finance, HSE, and site operations, and provide regular updates with clear visibility of decisions.

Qualifications

• Current Driver's Licence (Essential)
• Significant experience managing complex engineering, infrastructure or industrial capital projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple active projects concurrently
• Strong contractor management, contract administration and commercial capability
• Experience delivering brownfield projects in live operational environments
• Strong project controls: schedule, cost forecasting, risk management

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day delivery of both projects within scope, budget and schedule
• Manage project controls: cost forecasting, scheduling, risk management, change control and milestones
• Oversee contractor, consultant and supplier performance including contract administration
• Identify and resolve issues, escalate risks and key decisions as needed
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, HSE, site operations and stakeholders
• Manage interfaces between construction and live operations
• Maintain project documentation, schedules, forecasts and risk registers
• Provide regular progress updates and visibility of performance, risks and decisions
• Ensure governance, quality, safety and regulatory compliance
• Complete a structured handover at engagement end
