Job summary

Bayside Council in Sydney, NSW is seeking a Contract Administrator to support the Major Projects program. You will provide high-level contract administration across capital works, assisting the Superintendent's Representative to ensure contracts are managed effectively and project objectives are achieved.

You will work closely with project managers, consultants and contractors, offering guidance on procurement, compliance and project delivery, while maintaining strong financial oversight and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in contract administration or similar role within construction or capital works.
• Experience administering AS4000, AS4902, GC21 or similar construction contracts.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, contract management and construction delivery processes.
• Experience reviewing project costs, variations, progress claims and contractor performance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts across Council's capital works program.
• Assess variations, progress claims, contractor performance and contractual compliance.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, schedules and financial performance.
• Conduct site inspections and support quality assurance and compliance activities.
• Provide contract management advice and support across Council's capital works program.
• Engage with contractors, consultants and key stakeholders to support project delivery.
