Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking a Coordinator Major Projects to lead a portfolio of multi-million-dollar capital works and infrastructure projects in Sydney's Bayside area.

You will coordinate planning, procurement, contract administration and governance while guiding a team of experienced project managers and design professionals to deliver high-value outcomes for the community within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering major capital works, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven leadership experience managing complex projects, contracts and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-value construction contracts and manage commercial, contractual and project risks.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance across a multi-million-dollar portfolio.
• Prepare reports, briefings and recommendations for Executive leadership and Councillors.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing major projects team.
