Job summary

CCIWA seeks a Senior Policy Adviser to lead advocacy on industrial relations, work health and safety, and workforce policy issues affecting WA businesses. Based in the Perth CBD, you will influence government decision-making and advance the WA business community’s interests.

You will engage with members, prepare submissions, monitor legislation, and contribute to policy development. A Bachelor or higher degree and 3–5 years in workplace relations or public policy are required, with strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or tertiary degree in industrial relations, human resources, economics, commerce, or law.
• 3–5 years’ practical experience in workplace relations, industrial relations or public policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advocate for policy positions on industrial relations, work health and safety and employment policy issues.
• Engage with CCIWA members and participate in Workplace Relations Forum and Work, Health and Safety Forum.
• Prepare written submissions to government, tribunals and regulators.
• Undertake research and monitor relevant legislation, case law and licensing.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to influence policy development.
