Senior Associate/Special Counsel – Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety (WRES) – Perth

Role Overview

We are seeking a remarkable Senior Associate/Special Counsel to join our high performing Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety (WRES) Perth team. The role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to join a tier‑one ranked Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety practice, collaborate and contribute to a successful and impactful team, and work on large, complex matters for major clients.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with partner Anna Casellas and the WRES team.
• Represent a strong client base in high‑profile and high‑quality matters across the public and private sectors.
• Advise on all aspects of workplace relations including industrial relations, employment, work health and safety, anti‑discrimination and diversity.
• Handle compliance and regulatory matters, strategic and industrial advice, and litigation across all Courts and Tribunals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in a similar Senior Associate/Special Counsel position.
• Strong academic ability and drafting skills.
• Ability to provide timely, accurate and commercially astute advice.
• Strong sense of purpose, ambition and a proactive approach.
• Drive for business development, with a focus on winning new work and practice growth.
• Demonstrated capability to work autonomously, as well as in a team.
• High degree of initiative, dedication and organisational ability with a strong client and commercial focus.
