Job summary

UNSW in Sydney is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer – Informatica Cloud to lead the Master Data Management platform and related Informatica Cloud services. You will shape the strategy, implement secure, scalable patterns and drive automation across Azure and AWS environments, with governance and operational excellence at the core.

The role emphasizes platform reliability, DevSecOps alignment, and collaboration with architecture, cybersecurity and business teams.

Qualifications

Extensive experience designing, supporting or evolving enterprise data/platforms.
Strong ownership and engineering discipline for scalable solutions.
Experience with Azure data/integration services and AWS for hybrid cloud.
Fluency in platform operations, monitoring, and incident handling.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy and data governance.

Responsibilities

Provide senior technical leadership for design and operation of UNSW's MDM platform.
Shape platform strategy and technical roadmap for Informatica Cloud.
Translate complex requirements into secure, scalable platform patterns.
Lead design and implementation across Informatica IDMC/IICS, Azure, AWS.
Oversee onboarding of new data domains with governance controls.
Develop reusable platform patterns, runbooks and automation scripts.
Lead platform reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
Support DevSecOps practices and CI/CD alignment.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy and data governance.
Mentor team members and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
