AccountAbility is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer in Chatswood with 2 days WFH. The role focuses on end‑to‑end payroll using iChris and UKG, plus monthly closes and compliance across the payroll function.

You will drive process improvements, support payroll projects, and collaborate with HR and Finance to optimise workflows while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

• Supporting payroll projects, testing, UAT and improvements initiatives.
• Collaborating with HR, Finance and operations.

THE ROLE

Key responsibilities include:

• End‑to‑end fortnightly payroll processing using iChris
• Month‑end payroll accounting and reconciliations
• Responding to payroll queries and liaising with internal stakeholders
• Identifying and implementing process improvements
• Confidently challenging processes with curiosity while maintaining BAU
• Supporting payroll projects, testing, UAT and process improvement initiatives
• Working closely with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to automate and streamline payroll workflows
• Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation
• Complex payroll calculations, back pays and adjustments

THE PERSON

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Currently in a Senior Payroll Officer looking to step up your career to be more involved in Projects and process improvements
• iChris & Kronos / UKG experience highly desired
• Excellent communication skills, integrity and professionalism

• Strong understanding of Awards and Enterprise Agreements and payroll compliance
