Job summary

AccountAbility is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing in a large-scale environment, using SAP ECP and UKG. You will maintain payroll master data, respond to queries, and ensure compliance with payroll legislation.

The role is hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) in Macquarie Park with free onsite parking. You will join a supportive team with mentoring and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-volume payroll processing.
• SAP ECP (Employee Central Payroll) experience is essential.
• UKG experience is desirable.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing.
• Maintain employee records and payroll master data.
• Process new starters, terminations, leave, superannuation, allowances and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax, PAYG and related legislation.
• Respond to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders.
• Interpret awards and ensure payroll compliance.
• Prepare payroll reporting and analysis.
• Assist with process improvements and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders.

THE ROLE

• End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain employee records and payroll master data
• Process new starters, terminations, leave, superannuation, allowances and deductions
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation and relevant legislation
• Respond to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders in a timely manner
• Interpret awards and ensure payroll compliance
• Prepare payroll reporting and analysis
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
• Work collaboratively with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders across the business

THE PERSON

• Previous experience processing high-volume payroll
• SAP ECP (Employee Central Payroll) experience is essential
• UKG experience highly desirable
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment
• Award interpretation knowledge highly regarded
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
