Job summary

Optus is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist, Observability & NMS, to define strategy and governance for Fault and Performance Monitoring across Wireless, Access, Core, and fixed networks. You will lead technical authority, oversee vendor partnerships, and drive enterprise observability programs.

Deliverables include roadmaps, governance frameworks, and KPI programs that improve service quality and network visibility.

Qualifications

Extensive expertise in fault and performance management technologies and architectures.
Advanced knowledge of 4G/5G networks, core, IMS, transport, and fixed networks.
Proven track record in enterprise observability, KPI governance, and service quality improvements.
Experience leading large-scale technology deployments with governance and stakeholder engagement.
Expertise in OSS integration, telemetry data strategy, analytics, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

Define and own fault and performance monitoring roadmaps for network domains (Wireless, Access, Core, fixed).
Provide strategic leadership for observability programs across networks and managed services.
Lead senior vendor relationships, governance, and technology partnerships.
Establish enterprise-wide observability, assurance, and KPI frameworks.
Translate telemetry into strategic recommendations for engineering and executive leadership.
Build and lead a high-performing observability team.
