Job summary

Auto & General is seeking a Technical Motor Claims consultant in Australia to manage a portfolio of complex motor claims, including high-value, sensitive cases. You will review claims for acceptance, apply ICA and policy terms, and coordinate repairs and settlements end-to-end.

You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, drive outcomes, and stay abreast of regulatory changes relevant to the FSR environment. Hybrid workplace options available.

Qualifications

• Investigation experience highly desirable.
• Demonstrated insurance claims knowledge.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
• Broad ability to drive for results with negotiation skills.
• Ability to engage, influence and develop others.
• Understanding of legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations in the FSR environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complicated or unusual motor claims files.
• End-to-end management of a portfolio of complex, high-value and sensitive claims.
• Review each claimed item for acceptance in line with ICA, PDS and prior to dispute resolution.
• Support customers within policy entitlements; organise repairs and manage claims lifecycle.
• Accurate reserving, claim validations, cost management and stakeholder negotiations.
• Identify potential risks or compliance issues to Management.
• Perform Day-1 review of retained claims and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Assist Team Leader and Head of Fraud & Claims Investigations with additional projects.
