University of New South Wales invites applications for a Senior Legal Counsel to support our Buildings and Transportation businesses. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, you will deliver practical, commercial legal advice across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects, engaging with project teams and business leaders.

You will draft and negotiate contracts, review governance processes and advise on disputes, risk, procurement and compliance matters within a global organisation.

Formación

• Tertiary qualification in Law and admission to practice in Australia.
• Approximately 3–6 years post‑admission experience.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen with pragmatic, solutions‑focused advice.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Collaborative mindset with project teams.

Responsabilidades

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of contracts related to infrastructure, buildings and transport projects.
• Providing practical legal advice on procurement processes, risk allocation and contract negotiation strategies.
• Reviewing internal approvals and governance across the project lifecycle.
• Advising on disputes, claims and commercial risk management matters.
• Collaborating with project teams and business leaders across Buildings + Places and Transportation.
• Supporting compliance, governance, IP, insurance and broader corporate matters as required.
