Job summary

FutureYou is partnering with a leading commercial business to recruit a Legal Counsel to join its growing legal team in Sydney. Reporting to the Legal Director, the role will provide strategic commercial and legal advice on major infrastructure projects across transport, renewables, and resources, and will review, draft and negotiate contracts.

Qualifications

• PQE of 5–8 years from private practice or in-house.
• Experience advising on complex transactions.
• Strong construction law and contract understanding.
• Experience with commercial policies and risk identification.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Pro-active and commercial approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic commercial and legal advice on infrastructure projects across sectors including transport, renewables and resources.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts.
