Job summary

Fugro in Perth is seeking an experienced IT Systems Support Administrator to sustain our vessels and field operations. You’ll troubleshoot and maintain IT systems critical to geodata workflows and mission‑critical operations worldwide, supporting both desktop and server infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments.

You will act as a primary field contact and second‑line escalation, monitor tickets, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to cybersecurity efforts while documenting

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields.
• Proven experience in IT systems support or system administration, ideally in marine/offshore settings.
• Strong knowledge of desktop and server infrastructure and enterprise applications.
• Proactive, with problem-solving and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for end users in the field or remote operations centers and as 2nd line escalation point for Support Assistants and Administrators.
• Coordinate deployment of standard infrastructure and systems and monitor systems according to procedures.
• Monitor the status of open tickets and provide weekly reports to the responsible parties while implementing standard solutions.
• Complete periodic system maintenance tasks including patching, backup and restore activities.
• Coordinate purchasing and logistics for hardware maintenance and system updates.
• Support cyber security initiatives and respond to cyber issues reported by field personnel.
• Generate IT infrastructure and systems support related documentation when required.
