Job summary

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is seeking an IT Support Engineer (Level 2) to join our global IT team in Cairns. The role focuses on resolving complex tech issues, maintaining secure, reliable systems, and delivering high-quality support to staff across multiple countries and time zones.

You will work with Microsoft 365, Azure and endpoint management, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to international IT projects that enable life-saving missions and remote operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4 years' experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Windows environments, and endpoint management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Providing second-line technical support across Microsoft 365, Azure AD, endpoints, networking, and collaboration platforms.
• Investigating and resolving escalated technical issues while delivering an exceptional support experience.
• Supporting cybersecurity, identity and access management, and endpoint compliance.
• Assisting with system upgrades, deployments, and global IT projects.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Working closely with colleagues around the world to continually improve IT services.
• Mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge across the global support team.
• Helping ensure technology remains reliable, secure, and ready to support mission operations wherever MAF serves.
