Job summary

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is seeking an Aircraft Engineer to join the Mareeba and Arnhem Land Maintenance Team in Australia. The role focuses on maintaining a range of aircraft types within the MAF Fleet in challenging terrains, with safety and regulatory compliance at the forefront.

The candidate will perform inspections, maintenance, and repair work, contribute to quality and safety management, and may support other locations for up to 10 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Completion of required aircraft maintenance apprenticeship or qualification with recognised license outcome.
• Strong English communication, ICAO level 4 standard or equivalent.
• Experience in turbine or reciprocating engine maintenance and sheet metal/composites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out approved maintenance to ensure airworthiness in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Research data sources and document completion, sign-off tasks to SOPs.
• Work independently and as part of a global engineering team, potentially at other locations up to 10 weeks/year.
• Contribute to quality and safety audits and continually improve processes.
