Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Front End) in Redcliffe, WA to design and build modern web experiences using React, Angular and TypeScript. You will partner with UX, product and backend teams to deliver scalable, accessible interfaces and APIs, with a strong focus on performance and maintainability.

The role combines front-end engineering with occasional Python backend work, AWS cloud delivery, and collaboration across global teams to solve real mining industry challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/Software Eng/IT or equivalent.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade web apps.
• Strong skills in React and Angular with large-scale apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain modern web apps using React/Angular/TypeScript.
• Build responsive, accessible user interfaces and reusable components.
• Translate UX designs and requirements into front-end solutions.
• Contribute to front-end architecture and engineering standards.
• Integrate front-end with APIs and data services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX, and backend engineers.
• Mentor junior developers and drive code quality and maintainability.
