Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design and deliver modern, scalable front-end web applications for MineStar-enabled mining customers.

You will work across React, Angular and TypeScript with some Python backend work, collaborating with UX specialists, Product Owners and architects to translate requirements into high-quality digital products. Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Significant experience delivering production-grade web applications.
• Strong development experience with React and Angular, including large-scale, maintainable applications.
• Strong capability in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with responsive design, accessibility, front-end performance and modern UX practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain modern web applications using React, Angular and TypeScript.
• Build responsive, intuitive and accessible user interfaces that deliver high-quality customer experiences.
• Translate UX designs, prototypes and business requirements into scalable and maintainable front-end solutions.
• Develop reusable front-end components, patterns and libraries that improve consistency and development efficiency across products.
• Contribute to front-end architecture, application structure, technology choices and engineering standards.
• Optimise applications for performance, reliability, usability and maintainability.
• Integrate front-end applications with APIs, data services and MineStar capabilities.
• Develop and maintain Python backend services and APIs when required, supporting end-to-end application delivery.
• Work with AWS cloud services to develop and deploy scalable digital applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX specialists, architects and engineers to translate customer and business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Apply strong engineering practices across automated testing, code quality, security, performance, observability and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design reviews, providing constructive guidance and promoting consistent engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot complex front-end, integration and production issues and drive them through to resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, tools, standards and reusable components.
• Mentor and support other developers while contributing to a collaborative engineering culture.
• Work with globally distributed teams and delivery partners to deliver reliable and supportable solutions.
