Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Australia seeks a Senior Software Developer to design, develop and deliver cloud-based, scalable applications for MineStar initiatives. You will build backend services with Python, APIs and data integration, plus React-based front-ends for responsive UX.

You will collaborate with product owners, architects and UX specialists, contributing to architecture, security and CI/CD while mentoring peers and delivering reliable, high-quality software at scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Extensive production software development in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong backend experience with Python, APIs and business logic.
• Strong frontend experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable digital applications using AWS, Python and React.
• Build robust backend services and APIs and integrate with data services.
• Develop responsive user interfaces and ensure security, performance and maintainability.
• Contribute to solution architecture and technical design decisions.
• Mentor other developers and participate in code reviews and CI/CD practices.
