Job summary

Qantas Group in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Front-end) to shape scalable web experiences for our digital platforms. You will guide architecture, lead delivery, and contribute hands-on coding to ensure fast, secure and reliable services that meet evolving customer expectations.

You will work with React, JavaScript, SSR, micro front ends, and design systems while collaborating across teams to implement high-traffic customer-facing applications and UX improvements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a hands-on Software Engineering role.
• Experience building high-traffic customer-facing web applications.
• Strong experience with front end technologies (JavaScript, React.js, SSR, Micro Front Ends, HTML, CSS).
• Experience with design systems and reusable components across repositories.
• Knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Guide architecture, delivery and development of software systems powering our business unit.
• Hands-on coding to deliver high-quality, well-designed software and ensure reliability and security.
• Mentor junior developers and promote clean code, testing, and continuous improvement.
