Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning in the Darwin area seeks a Senior Educator to join our team. You will lead a classroom, observe and support the educational program across centres, and work with families to deliver high-quality early childhood education.

The role requires a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a current Working with Children Check and First Aid, plus strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS. We offer above-award wages, flexible benefits and a supportive, not-for-profit culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Passion and enthusiasm to lead a classroom and engage with children, families and educators.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for children, families and staff.
• Lead a classroom effectively and engage with educators, families and children to implement the educational program.
• Implement the Goodstart Practice Guide to deliver high-quality education and practice in collaboration with the Education Leader.
• Comply with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart policies and requirements.
• Contribute to delivering the Centre and business plans.

Location: Darwin area, NT – All centres are located within the Darwin area in the NT Salary Range : Senior Educators - r anging from $41.74 to 43.00 per hour + Superannuation (Dependant on qualifications and experience)
Employment Type: Full-time Permanent

You’ll need:

• Senior Educator - Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Having passion and enthusiasm to lead a classroom effectively engaging with educators, families and children to implement the educational program
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and families
• Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
• Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program
• Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members
