Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking an Early Childhood Senior Educator for our Cairns region centres in Far North Queensland. The role offers full-time permanent employment with an hourly rate from $41.74 to $43.00 plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.

You’ll join a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing quality long day-care, accredited Kindergarten and Preschool programs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (required)
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Passion and enthusiasm to lead a classroom and implement the educational program
• Build and maintain strong relationships with children and families
• Support reflective practice and continuous improvement
• Share best practices to enhance the education program
• Maintain a safe environment for children, families and staff

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members
• Lead a classroom with passion and enthusiasm, engaging with educators, families and children to implement the educational program
• Utilise the Goodstart Practice Guide to deliver high-quality education in collaboration with the Education Leader
• Comply with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart policies and requirements
• Contribute to delivering the Centre and business plans

Salary Range: Senior Educators - r anging from $41.74 to 43.00 per hour + Superannuation (Dependant on qualifications and experience)

As a Senior Educator, you will be a team player, collaborating with your peers within your centre to observe, inform and continuously improve our educational programs on offer to children. You put safety first with everything that you do and ensure all learning experiences are inclusive and respond to the needs of all children.

Senior Educator Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members.
• Have passion and enthusiasm to lead a classroom effectively engaging with educators, families and children to implement the educational program.
• Utilise and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide to deliver a high-quality education program and practice in collaboration with the Education Leader.
• Comply with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart Policies, Procedures and Requirements.
• Positively contribute to delivering the Centre and business plans.

You’ll Need

• Senior Educator - Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
