Job summary

Canva is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the DevX group to own critical infrastructure used by engineers across the company. You will work on automation pipelines, developer workflows, and build & collaboration tooling to reduce friction and speed up delivery.

Ideal candidates have strong Python/Go backgrounds, production AWS/Kubernetes experience, and a track record of supporting large teams in scalable environments.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Platform Engineering with Python and Go.
• Experience supporting large engineering organizations (1000+ engineers).
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines at scale (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Buildkite).
• Familiarity with Bazel and monorepo tooling.
• Knowledge of IaC with Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Own critical DevX infrastructure and CI/CD systems.
• Improve developer workflows and environments across the SDLC.
• Maintain monorepo tooling, build systems (Bazel) and code review infra.
