Job summary

Canva’s Developer Environment (DevX) team seeks a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for scalable cloud platforms, IDE tooling, and AI-enabled workflows at Canva. This role blends deep operations with technical leadership across multiple domains.

You’ll own platform architecture, mentor engineers, and partner with product and security teams in a hybrid Sydney-based role with remote work options. Expect to influence Deploy, Observability, and Developer Workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large, cross-team platform initiatives end-to-end.
• Strong cloud, infra, and developer tooling background.
• Proficient in Python/Go with exposure to TypeScript/Java.
