Job summary

Embedded Expertise is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join an advanced operations team working on critical water infrastructure in Brisbane. This project-based contract centers on automation, SCADA, OT, and data-driven improvements across planning, monitoring and control of network operations.

You will design and implement control systems, develop standards and visuals, identify opportunities to automate processes, and provide coaching to engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Degree in Control Systems Engineering or related discipline
• Strong experience in control systems and process engineering
• Proven experience providing technical engineering support
• Experience automating operational processes through OT systems
• SCADA, PLC and/or IIoT experience
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
• RPEQ
• Data science experience or qualifications would be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control system and automation solutions
• Develop standards, work instructions, visualisations and automated processes
• Identify opportunities to improve SCADA, OT and control logic
• Support the development of IIoT solutions and use cases
• Provide technical advice around SCADA and OT alarms and events
• Solve technical and engineering problems across Operations and Maintenance Planning
• Drive continual improvement across systems, processes and technology
• Provide technical coaching and support to engineers and technical officers
