Job summary

Embedded Expertise is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join an advanced operations team working on critical water infrastructure in Brisbane. This project-based contract centers on automation, SCADA, OT, and data-driven improvements across planning, monitoring and control of network operations.

You will design and implement control systems, develop standards and visuals, identify opportunities to automate processes, and provide coaching to engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Degree in Control Systems Engineering or related discipline
• Strong experience in control systems and process engineering
• Proven experience providing technical engineering support
• Experience automating operational processes through OT systems
• SCADA, PLC and/or IIoT experience
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
• RPEQ
• Data science experience or qualifications would be highly regarded

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join an advanced operations team working across critical water infrastructure.

This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer who enjoys automation, SCADA, OT and solving operational problems. You'll work alongside engineers, analysts and data scientists to develop smarter ways of planning, monitoring and controlling network operations.

The Position:

You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing control system and automation solutions that help manage operational risk and improve performance across:

• Integrated Activity Planning
• Surveillance and Prevention
• Recovery
• Monitoring and Control

Your focus will be on finding opportunities to automate processes, improve existing systems and make better use of SCADA and OT technology.

What You'll Be Doing:
