Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Contracts Administrator role within the commercial construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Proven experience negotiating complex contracts with trade contractors, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial management, procurement and contract administration.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Familiarity with construction project management and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Contract & Commercial Management: Managing subcontractor tendering, procurement and contract negotiations.
• Preparing, administering and managing subcontractor agreements.
• Reviewing tender documentation and contracts to identify commercial risks.
• Maintaining subcontractor records, insurances and contractual documentation.
• Managing final accounts, release of securities and contractual close-out.
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks, and assisting with potential claims and disputes.
