Job summary

UGL’s Energy & Industrial national business unit is expanding, seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to support project delivery in Australia. Based in Brisbane, North Sydney or Adelaide, you’ll manage contract administration, claims and subcontract variations to uphold cost, time and quality targets.

You will work with Project Managers and Commercial Managers to ensure compliance with standards and best commercial practices, while screening for risk and delivering timely

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in Contracts Administration or similar in resources/construction.
• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar.
• Advanced MS Excel and MS Office; SAP experience desirable.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• High resilience, problem-solving ability and a proactive approach.
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Positive, customer-focused, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage all contract administration activities for the project.
• Prepare accurate, on-time payment claims in line with head contract and Security of Payments legislation.
• Review and coordinate subcontractor payment claims and variations.
• Monitor contract securities, insurances, claims and variations.
• Administer subcontract agreements to ensure delivery against cost, quality and schedule targets.
• Coordinate with Project, Design and Construction Managers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
• Support monthly internal and external project reporting (e.g., S-curves, earned value ratios, productivity).
• Conduct preliminary commercial evaluation of subcontractor tenders.
