Job summary

James Foster Consulting seeks a Senior Contract Administrator in Sydney to drive subcontract letting, cost reporting and budget management on key projects. You will be embedded with a Tier 2 builder, working across New Builds, Fitouts and Refurbishments, with leadership support for your growth.

The role emphasizes relationship building with subbies, clients and internal teams, a sharp eye for detail and a genuine commercial mindset.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years experience as a Contract Administrator with a reputable builder.
• Solid understanding of subcontract management and the construction lifecycle.
• Experience with Head Contract is preferred.

• Ability to build relationships with subbies, clients and internal teams.

The Role

Contract Administrator

You'll be embedded across exciting, meaningful projects and supported by a leadership team that genuinely invests in your growth.

Day to day you'll be across:

• Subcontract letting, scoping and procurement
• Progress claims, variations and cost reporting
• Budget management and financial forecasting
• RFI management and subcontractor coordination
• Supporting project delivery from award through to completion

Whether you're coming from a New Build, Fitout or Refurb background or a mix of all three you'll find a home here.

What You Actually Need

• 2 to 5 years experience as a Contract Administrator with a reputable builder
• Solid understanding of subcontract management and the construction lifecycle as well as Head Contract Experience
• A sharp eye for detail and genuine commercial awareness
• The ability to build relationships with subbies, clients and your internal team
