Job summary

Longreach Recruitment has partnered with a national commercial builder to recruit a Senior Contract Administrator for a $75m retail format project near Cockburn, WA. The role focuses on commercial leadership, cost control and contract management on a large, well-resourced site.

You will bring tertiary QS/CM qualifications, 10+ years in commercial building, and a background with main contractors. Strong communication, negotiation and strategic thinking are essential to drive value and ensure

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• Experience leading commercial teams on projects $30M+.
• Previous main contractor experience is essential.
• Experience on retail projects is highly desirable.
• 10+ years in commercial building with strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial management for a $75M retail format project near Cockburn.
• Lead procurement, subcontractor selection and cost control.
• Develop and negotiate contracts and manage change orders.
• Collaborate with project team to mitigate risks and maximise value.

About the Company

A commercial construction company with a national presence, they have excellent client relationships and most of their work comes from repeat clientele. In WA they specialise in commercial and industrial design and construct projects ranging from $10-$50M. They have a team on the ground here in Perth and focus on delivering a couple of projects per annum.

They are currently looking for a Senior Contract Administrator for a $75m large retail format project based near Cockburn.

Key Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Experience managing projects $30M + as the commercial lead.
• Previous main contractor experience is essential
• Experience on retail projects would be highly desirable.
• 10yrs+ experience working in commercial building
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid commercial awareness and persuasive negotiation skill
