Job summary

Block Inc. is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to lead financial services compliance for Afterpay ANZ. Based in Australia (Sydney/Melbourne preferred), you will report to the Head of Compliance and guide advisory, licensing, governance and frameworks across Afterpay business units in AU/NZ.

You will manage compliance risk, policy development and regulatory interactions, including maintaining the Australian Credit License and reporting to ASIC.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a compliance/risk professional in Australian financial services.
• Experience maintaining financial services regulatory licenses.
• Expertise across regulated consumer credit, payments, AML/AMLD4 obligations.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Compliance to ensure the Compliance Function operates effectively.
• Lead the Compliance Framework and Program with policies, standards and procedures.
• Oversee governance, risk and compliance for regulated financial services products.
• Maintain Australian Credit License governance and annual ASIC submissions.
• Manage monitoring, reporting, audits, and regulator communications.
• Educate the business on compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
• Advise on implementation and operation of compliance programs.
• Report on risks, trends and KPIs; foster strong risk culture.
