Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to strengthen AP+’s compliance management capability and support the organisation in navigating evolving regulatory requirements.

You will provide practical compliance advice, lead development of frameworks, oversee monitoring and assurance, and mentor a team, partnering with business stakeholders and Group Risk to identify and manage compliance risks.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in compliance, risk, assurance, governance or regulatory advisory.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise compliance frameworks.
• Experience leading compliance monitoring and management reporting.
• Expert knowledge of regulatory obligations and governance principles.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory change management and operating models.
• Advanced analytical capability using BI and compliance data.
• Ability to provide credible specialist advice and influence stakeholders.
• Bachelor degree in law, business, commerce or related discipline; professional certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of enterprise compliance frameworks.
• Provide authoritative guidance on complex regulatory obligations and governance requirements.
• Lead risk-based monitoring, assurance and review activities to assess control effectiveness.
• Translate data and results into clear insights for senior management and governance forums.
• Oversee regulatory change pipeline and their business impacts.
• Partner with business teams and Group Risk to address significant issues and remediation.
• Develop compliance performance measures and reporting for visibility.
• Coach and train compliance practitioners and build trusted relationships.
• Drive digitisation, data management and BI improvements.
