Job summary

Beyond Bank Australia is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to lead a team and provide independent oversight of regulatory compliance across the Bank.

You will partner with business leaders, drive regulatory change, oversee incidents, and help strengthen the compliance culture while guiding day-to-day operations.

This full-time, hybrid role offers the chance to shape governance, work with regulators, and support a member-owned bank committed to responsible banking.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in financial services compliance, regulatory advisory or risk, with deep knowledge of the Australian banking regulatory environment.
• Ability to translate complex legislation into practical, commercial advice for the business.
• Strong stakeholder management, with capability to influence senior leaders and regulators.
• Experience leading regulatory change initiatives, governance programs or compliance frameworks in a large organisation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with ability to produce clear reports for varied audiences.
• Leadership experience and a passion for coaching high-performing teams.
• Tertiary qualifications in law, compliance, business, audit or related discipline are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert compliance advice and regulatory guidance to leaders across the Bank.
• Lead the Compliance Advisory team and mature the Bank's Compliance Framework.
• Drive assessment and implementation of regulatory change to stay compliant in a dynamic environment.
• Oversee management of compliance incidents and breaches, including investigations and remediation.
• Influence key business initiatives by providing regulatory insight and risk-based advice.
• Represent the Bank with regulators, industry bodies and governance forums.
